The Formal Closet was established in February 2023 at the Olean Family YMCA by Dann Deckman-Hadden and AnnMarie Tompkins of Operation Warm Hearts to ensure that every school district and home-schooled child doesn't miss out on an opportunity to attend a formal event due to finances.

We have a variety of gowns ranging from short to floor-length as well as suits, tuxedos, shoes, and jewelry.

The Formal Closet opens in time for school districts' formal events and is available to all students, including those who are homeschooled. We also welcome adults who need attire for formal occasions!
