Infant Care

Ages: 6 weeks – 12 months

In the Good Night Moon Room, you will find a calm and soothing environment for your child that includes an array of sensory toys, music, balls and soft literacy materials. Infants also participate in age appropriate crafts and outdoor adventures when weather permits. Each child receives his or her own crib and cubby to store items in this room. At the end of each day, parents will receive a day sheet letting them know how their child’s day was along with the activities they did.

Young Toddler Care

Ages: 12 – 24 months

In the Oh the Places You Will Go Room, your child will develop their social, emotional, and gross motor skills by using sensory toys, musical instruments, a dramatic play kitchen set, climbing blocks and literacy materials. This room also has access to the full-size gymnasium that the children utilize each day to develop their walking and running skills. Each child receives their own assigned cubby and nap mate upon enrollment.

Older Toddler Care

Ages: 24 – 36 months

In the Dear Zoo Room, your child will have access to many different activity centers including a kitchen center, a sand table, and dress up center. The children will also be introduced to a daily routine including circle time and an age appropriate curriculum. This room focuses on social interactions with your child’s peers and adults, as well as their environment. Children will also have free play to explore all the materials that are in the room. We also help with your child’s potty training milestone and love to take outdoor adventures when weather permits.

Pre-School Care

Ages: 3 – 5 years

In the Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Room, we focus on preschool learning. There is an interactive SMART Board as well as two iPads the children actively use. They engage in literacy, math and science centers each day as well as gross and fine motor skills development. Children enjoy free time and exploring all the materials at their disposal with guided learning from the trained staff.

School Age Care

Kindergarten to 12 years of age

School-age child care is a year-round child care program. This year-round care includes the YMCA Summer Camp program, which includes 11 weeks of organized activities to facilitate youth development out of the School Street Elementary School. YCamp provides creative, recreational and educational opportunities inside and out.

Before and after school care is located in the Bradford Family YMCA where children are bused to school in the morning and back to the Y after school. This care includes holidays, snow days, in-service days, and half days off of school. The unique program provides breakfast, morning and afternoon snacks, homework help, and access to board games, books, dramatic play, craft supplies, and a computer. Children can also take part in swimming on days off from school and during summer YCamp.

Trained and dedicated staff will help children develop mentally, physically, socially and spiritually in a safe environment. They also provide lessons to facilitate relationships and incorporate the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility each day.

Testimonials

From the parent of a 3-year old enrolled in the Bradford YMCA Child Care program . . .

"I feel that the Y Daycare has been a positive influence on my children. For example, I have noticed that my three-year old is more advanced than other three-year olds he is around (not other Y kids). I don’t think I am just saying that because I am his mother. The Y teaches the kids respect, how to play games, cards, put together puzzles, and they do not spend a lot of time in front of a TV. Both of my kids love the Y. Both of them have learned sports and how to swim."

From a parent of three children that have gone through the Bradford YMCA Child Care program and regular Y programs . . .

“My three handsome boys have learned to swim, played basketball, went to summer camps and have been educated at the YMCA Child Care Center. I was just complimented on how my youngest son, Sean, speaks so clearly. I credit the Y Child Care Center for helping develop his speech. We LOVE the Y!”
